About Us
Merlowe and The Dry Tear is the cinematic retro pop project of Danny Monk Owen, a multi-instrumentalist and studio veteran whose unconventional journey through music began at age 9. Blending timeless songwriting with lush, emotional soundscapes, Merlowe and The Dry Tear creates immersive experiences that echo both classic influences and modern storytelling.
We also operate two subsidiaries: Sonaar Concerts, an event promoter featuring artists from Montreal and abroad; and Sonaar Promo, an agency which promotes projects not directly linked to Sonaar.
